Marseille negotiators get a flea in the ear

payetshirt726ii (1)West Ham have sent Marseilles negotiators back to France with a flea in their ear for the second time.

The Ligue 1 outfit’s top team arrived to try sorting out Dimitri Payet’s move back across the channel but found it hard going with uncompromising David Sullivan in charge at our end..

They had already seen a first £20 million bid knocked back as derisory given the various  clauses they wanted to include involved Champions League or Europa Cup qualification.

Marseille’s president Jacques-Henri Eyraud was involved in the talks today but there was little more on the table and the Hammers had no hesitation is saying “no deal” as they hope for other clubs to come in and bid.

That’s a huge worry for Marseille who were left in no doubt that only an offer of £30 million – £35 million will be considered.

We were told this evening: “SADLY, there is no deal at this stage. We are not desperate to sell him and in this market Marseille’s offers are far too low.”

  1. I think there is going to be a bit of a standoff in the coming week or so.But when you see WBA offering 10 million for Jake Livemore then it really does make Marseilles first two offers a joke.

  2. How they think they can get him for £20m is beyond me. Highly they’ll find back with a reasonable offer as I’d prefer him to go.

  3. We payed that much for Ayew

  4. But we have got to let him go because its family problems.Noble & Bilic have got the right raging because he has family problems.
What a total load of boll****.Why the hell would a pretty level headed nice geezer like Noble have the hump with him if he knew Fat Frog had family issues. Why would he not have spoken to him for three weeks if it was because of family problems.
Jesus im done with this Payet crap,if his representatives carry on playing the game well they will have everyone believeing it for family reasons 😬😁

  5. Whilst I would never want to see him on the pitch for us again if Bilic got the opportunity to put him on the bench and make him warm up in front of the crowd so we could all ‘thank’ him, well that has it attractions!!!

  6. West Ham should also add the cost of replacing every shirt sold to fans with his name on.

  7. Before you know it the high & mighty fans will be giving out lecturers on calling players nasty names…oh wait too late…

  8. From the colony I thought his body language told the story. He didn’t have the same passion as the last campaign.Perhaps he was carrying a bit too much of KFC. Anyway we move on.Like has been said many times previously no one man is bigger than the club.Has anyone seen Rads visiting Bilic with his CV?? Hmmmmm
