Masuaku injury goes from ‘not big’ to six weeks!

arthur-masuaku-west-ham-action-shot_3785392Maybe Slav is a supreme optimist but the news that Arthur Masuaku will be out for a minimum of six weeks came as a big surprise this morning given his report on the injury yesterday.

Speaking after the Accrington match the manager said that “the left leg injury doesn’t look a worrying one” yet here we are 24 hours being handed the worst news possible.

It’s not the first time this has happened with Slav telling us at one stage that Andy Carroll’s injury would be a four week thing before we discover that he’s unlikely to be back until the end of October and if memory serves a fairly upbeat report on Aaron Cresswell was delivered until we learned the worst.

The boss has also told us that record signing Andre Ayew will be back in November – hopefully he has that one right. However, we are probably better off waiting for updates from the medical staff.
