Mesmerising Samuelsen can “win Posh the league”

|

martin-samuelsen-west-hamMartin Samuelsen was in sensational touch for Peterborough United this afternoon providing the WOW factor in the club’s 4-0 win at Scunthorpe.

The young Norwegian appeared for the last 25 minutes and following a mesmerising display, Posh director of footall Barry Fry said: “If we can keep this kid until the end of the season we’ll win the league. He is absolutely brilliant and going right to the top.

“He had only been on a few minutes when he went on a run which took him past five players and after laying on the chance, Marcus Maddison hit the post.

And it was Martin who supplied the pass for the final goal in the 90th minute. It was an amazing first apearance and we couldn’t be more excited.

“I’ve been in this game a long long time but this lad is as good as any I’ve seen at this age and he has a brilliant attitude towards everything. We will do all we can to hang on to him. He makes mincemeat of defenders.”

And under our previous manager, you probably would have been allowed to keep him. But under Slav – well things are a bit different and a player of Samuelsen’s class will fulfil the kind of potential at West Ham so wasted by Ravel Morrison before him. Martin’s only real weakness is that he isn’t in the traditional mould of ‘big and strong’ – a bit of a weedy kid – but with talent to burn.

    Weedy like Lanzini ?
But let’s go with not weedy Carroll ?
Wish he was playing against Spuds last week and not entertaining the Posh

    Weedy like Devonshire ?
I would have him on the bench. At least the lads playing , next year maybe ?
