Midfielder closes in on Hammers exit

west_hams_sofiane_feghouli_celebrates_scoring_their_third_goal_317515Sofiane Feghouli appears to be edging ever closer a West Ham exit. Galatasaray have reportedly upped their offer to the Hammers last week in a transfer deal worth around £4.5m last in an attempt to seal the deal. Today French Football claim that Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek and Sporting Director Cenk Ergün went to France and the two of them are reported to have had a meeting with Feghouli agents at a hotel in Paris on Saturday evening.

Feghouli has been hit by injuries since arriving on a three-year deal from Valencia last summer and was restricted to only 27 appearances, from which he scored four goals.

Feghouli is one of West Ham’s top earners in a package made up of a high basic and a signing on fee worth £4m over three years. His departure would pave the way for the signing of Badou N’Diaye to become the Hammers fifth signing of the summer.

  1. 5 or at most 6 players should be the limit of our activity this window. Any more and some of the negatives effects of too chunky changing may come into play. Plus the youth can surely cover if necessary.

  2. I would rather Snodgrass be sold if they can unload him for 10 mill it would be good business, at least Feghouli tries when he is on the pitch Snodgrass was a big disappointment last season & overpriced for what he brought to the team.

  3. Gonna have a pint on this one today 🙂 body language told you he was on his way last two games ! For me I can’t wait for it to happen 🙂 I know a few on here like him but we all see something different , never took to him at all , young john who sits next to me will be doing cartwheels bless him 🙂 🙂

  4. I liked the geezer when he was at Valenicia before he had his strop there about warm downs but he has been something & nothing for us imo.
Wont be going in to a tail spin about him going.Arnie leftish,Ant rightish works for me.

  5. I would sooner see both go as they are not good enough to make us a better side,
Would not surprise me to see Ayew and Sak go to to balence the books
With Kouyate mate coming in and maybe Wilshere to cover the Jewel
    Carroll and Hernandez up top
    Ant and Arnie either side
The Jewel pulling the strings with Obiang in front of
    A Real back 4
At home and maybe a bit more less attacking away from home
My only problem is the shortage of speed in the back 4
Hart will have to be world class to cover our defence
But how nice it would be to have Wilshere or another Fernandez Quina ect to back up our top 11 and push for there places
At the end of this season the Jewel will be worth 70 mil or more
Just got a feeling this year Carroll is going to stay fit and form the best team with the Pea in the premier

  6. Just goes to show the standard?
Maybe Zaza could have scored there ?
Calleri could get 40 goals a season ?

  7. Yes me to rads 🙂 carrols done I think bubs , maybe a bit part , sakho ‘s got more chance to come back , I wouldn’t be down if Ayew moved on , he’s not done a lot IMO , the lad Holland looks good on the left wing , defo one for the future , ginge and fonte as you say no pace at the back and needs a tweek , Wiltshire IMO is another sick note on 50 Bensons a day 🙂 and as for jenks 🙂 scoring a hat trick proves a point about how tough this league is 🙂 🙂

  8. Has anyone explained why Feghouli has been on such good money when all he’s ever been is a bit part player at best – it’s beyond me!

  9. Rads summed it up Michael 🙂 he was a freebie as well , sully special ,-) it didn’t work out 🙂

  10. May not be the opinion of some but I think he is easily good enough for our team, works hard to close players down and when played through the centre looked even better, last season was his first in England and the team as a whole were poor for two thirds of that or more, I would much rather see Snodgrass moved on and we can get more for him it seems, Feghouli is worth £10 – £15m judging by the prices other players are going for so why sell him for a pittance ?

    • If the club let’s him go 32 then they just don’t fancy him , the club appears to be happy getting their money back , 10 -15 mill , if he was worth it they would have asked it , he makes the bench at best , I don’t think he wants that !! He’s a gonner IMO 🙂
