Midfielder on target for return

Pedro Obiang is still on target to take a place on the bench against Leicester City next weekend.

The midfielder has made great progress from a knee injury which looked set to end his season but instead he’s in line for a return for the last three games.

Winston Reid, Sam Byram and Michail Antonio will all be back for the next campaign as the Hammers looked to secure safety.

David Moyes has spoken of Obiang’s recovery and we were told last night (Mon) that he is now considered a definite squad participant for the game against the Foxes.

However, James Collins now looks likely to have kicked his last ball for the Irons and remains on the sidelines with Declan Rice now likely to keep his place until the end of the season despite Sunday’s error against Arsenal.

‘Ginge’ is now considered a certain departure as the manager looks to reinforce at the back.
