Anyway ; seems that Southgate has done the right thing by dropping Hart . Best decision he could have made . But , and it’s a Big but ; he will make the same glaring mistake as Hodgson by not taking Carroll . In the last World Cup we were crying out for a player like Carroll whilst we were placing high crosses into the box for 90 mins with nobody getting onto the end of them . It was such an obvious omission it makes you cry . Southgate is on the same route to failure because he also is failing to see the value of a player like Carroll .
We can win this world if you include Carroll . If we don’t we can plan our return journey early . …. just wanted to say that before all the media and anybody else .
If i were an England striker and got dropped from the world cup squad for Carroll i think i would feel absolutely sick.
