Mike on Monday …philosophy…Moyes and ‘clickbait’

It’s Tuesday so it must be time for Mike on Monday!

Mr Manera was a little bit slow out of the traps with his latest episode but it’s worth the wait as he again casts  his eyes over all things West Ham.

And he starts in philosphical mood by recalling a conversation with some idiot who asked why – given the various issues of serious concern worldwide – people became so intense about the team.

He comes to the conclusion this is because many have been stripped of the last vestiges of their identity by various social pressures  thus ensuing that claret and blue remains an essential part of their life.

Ok!

He addresses the Moyes debate and what we are set to read during “clickbait season” as the transfer speculation gets into full swing.

And we musn’t forget a magnificent analysis of the game against Manchester United which ended in a 0-0 draw.

It’s all here in Mike on Monday (or Tuesday).

  1. Anyway ; seems that Southgate has done the right thing by dropping Hart . Best decision he could have made . But , and it’s a Big but ; he will make the same glaring mistake as Hodgson by not taking Carroll . In the last World Cup we were crying out for a player like Carroll whilst we were placing high crosses into the box for 90 mins with nobody getting onto the end of them . It was such an obvious omission it makes you cry . Southgate is on the same route to failure because he also is failing to see the value of a player like Carroll .
We can win this world if you include Carroll . If we don’t we can plan our return journey early . …. just wanted to say that before all the media and anybody else .

  2. If i were an England striker and got dropped from the world cup squad for Carroll i think i would feel absolutely sick.
