Moyes admits he was annoyed with Arnie!

A Lanzini C&HDavid Moyes saw the team record their third clean sheet on the trot and said: “Don’t shout about it too much as we’re going to need a few more.”

He was delighted to grab the first away win of the season saying: “The result went our way and it was important win. We’re gaining momentum and at times we showed that.”

Discussing the spot kick which gave us a breakthrough he said: “The defender gave the referee a decision to make.

Manuel Lanzini ran about 70 yards so I think he went over with fatigue rather than a dive. I’d be disappointed to give away a penalty like that but sometimes that’s the way it goes.

“We had to deal with a lot of stuff but we missed good chances. I was annoyed with Marko at half-time as he had the chance to get two. He’s doing really well and I said to him at half-time he would score.

  1. I thought the article was going to say annoyed because he did the crossed hammers salute to the away fans riling up Stoke even more, glad to hear it wasn’t for that which will of course endear him to us COYI !!!

  2. Moyes is seemingly forging himself a new career should things go tits-up, as a comedian! Heard it all now – Lanzini went to ground due to fatigue in the 19th minute.
My only worry is Lanz is looking more and more like a Man City player every day. Been to the Sterling, Mane and Jesus school of diving, sponsored by Pep-cheating-******* Ltd!
