Moyes denies Snodgrass move

snoddy5David Moyes has denied he or the board attempted to bring back Robert Snodgrass from his season-long loan at Aston Villa.

Speculation in the media suggested that West Ham tried to cancel the loan earlier but were put off by Villa asking for the return of a £2m loan fee.

Moyes was asked directly by a reporter at this afternoon pre-match press conference whether the club attempted to bring the fellow Scotsman back.

Moyea answered: “No, and if I did the first person on the phone would be Steve Bruce and Steve Round because I know them both really well. No I think that it is something which we’ve had a think about but under the rules he is with them and he’s doing very well for Aston Villa.”
