Moyes: “We have to get to another level”

|

moyes6David Moyes is still celebrating the Hammers victory at Huddersfield as the Hammers scored their first ‘double’ over any team this season.

Moyes grabbed the 200th win of his career to join Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger and Sir Harry Redknapp.

Ferguson was in the crowd as Moyes secured that win and  the Hammers boss declared: “It was a much better performance. A bigger threat and we passed it well at times.

“We’ve still got to go to another level with it, but I’ve got to say – and I know the two boys up front will get a lot of the credit – that I thought the team performance generally was really good.”

He added: “For us to beat one of our rivals is a big thing. I don’t think any of the teams are much better than the other so the games are going to be close, but we’re beginning to win on the road.

“We won at Stoke and here and we’ve started to get a wee bit of form at the London Stadium as well. Hopefully that will bode well between now and the end of the season.”

Agree with you Mr Moyes, we are playing at about 20% of what we are capable of, we scored some great goals on the counter against Huddersfield but we are still mostly struggling to string passes together, we are getting better without the ball but as we saw on Saturday we are still failing to come out and close the ball down on our 18 yard box, the only player I see do that is Declan Rice or Collins when he plays, time and again we are conceding goals for that reason, the defenders have to be braver and quicker. We also don’t control the middle of the park very well as Moyes has pointed out and we haven’t found a way to get our best finisher firing.

He knows like we do 32 where the problem is ! But can he get them in in this window ? Without going into depths of despair which were all aware of we will have to wait and see what or if it happens ! Arnie or lanzini get injured that’s us done ! Antonio is out for a few weeks maybe so let’s hope something transpires soon !! I’m off to bed 😜

We can play better add some more creativity & talent pace etc.
Board has only bid £5m on Arter.
Shelvey isn’t my first choice but even. Rafa recent said he would sell him & others to free up funds to get replacements but no bids have come. So Bid!
Same w Dendockner think he could be got for less then £27m they have flipped flop their price a lot think £20m plus add ons would do it.
There are players out there. Really wanted James Maddiaon but needed to move early on that & now that Norwich sold Pritchard missed out.
They need to just make some bids.
Smolov Dendockner Shelvey would all come here & more we are linked w.
I’d love Frankie de Jong & go in big for him.
We need 2 of everything in our squad we don’t have that do in CBs but still chasing them.ffs
