New reports are emerging this evening that the Hammers are ready to move in on Michy Batshuayi this summer.

Now, it appears the general media are catching up with the Mail confirming the Irons want the young Belgian on a year’s loan.

We of course missed out with a £38 million bid last summer but with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte snubbing the the  player all season, the 23 year old is desperate to get first team football and the Hammers want to give it to him.

The Mail reports we are ready to throw our hat into the ring on the basis of a year’s loan and the interest has been confirmed by a key Hammers insider.

He said: “It wouldn’t be rocket science to work it out – yes we would be interested in the player. Of course. We were last summer and would be this.”
