New Reid talks to start this week

winston-reid-west-ham-united_3009997West Ham’s owners and Winston Reid’s advisers will meet again this week in a bid to end the deadlock over a new contract.

ClaretandHugh has learned this morning that contact has been made between the two sides and that talks are set to start over the next 72 hours.

A source revealed to us exclusively: “We  are in contact and talks will be re-started later in the week. It’s important that both sides know exactly where they are with each other.

“We remain very keen to re-sign Winston and it’s realistic to expect that we could be offering some improvements to what’s on the table.

“These are tough negotiations and we will be will doing the very best we can to get this sorted and find a way through the situation to suit everybody but it’s good we are to start talking again.”

The player has been linked with Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton and Spurs but the Hammers remain hopeful of getting a deal in place.
