No approaches for Irons midfielder despite rumours

|

West Ham insist there has been no approach for midfielder Pedro Obiang despite reports claiming there is much interest from Italy.

The new manager is keen to reshape the Irons midfield but as yet there have been no approaches for any of our players.

Reports surfaced recently that the former Spain under 21 was very much on the radar of Fiorentina, with whom he has been linked previously, Villareal and Bekitas.

However, ClaretandHugh’s insiders insist that there has not been an interest lodged from them or any other club since the window opened.

Obiang showed he is fully recovered from a knee injury sustained at Wigan in the FA Cupwhen returning for a brief appearance against Everton in the game of last season .

Until Pellegrini has assessed his squad and made final decisions, it would be wrong to speculate on Obiang’s position other than to say that at this stage he has attracted no interest.
