Noble begs fans to “stick by us”

Mark-Noble-640914Mark Noble has given a heartfelt interview in which he has begged the fans to stick with the team and told the players there must be no “talking behind backs.”

The captain – speaking to the official website – said: “The fans show their emotions, and rightly so because they’re not happy and they pay a lot of money to come and watch us.

“I know it’s hard, I know they’re frustrated, and we are too because we know we’re better than what we’re showing, but I urge them to stick by us and hopefully the good times will come back.

“As much as we’re not performing on the pitch at the minute, we need them to stick by us.”
Discussing the latest defeat at Watford he said: “To be honest, we went into the game with a lot of belief. We have done a lot of work in the last couple of weeks but we conceded an early goal and it’s an uphill battle from there.

“We had two good chances to equalise in the first half but in the end, I thought Watford were the better team. They have been together with their manager for a while and we’ve had a couple away on international duty and we’ve trained with our young lads.

“But it could have been a different if we’d finished our chances but that’s the way it’s going at the moment. There’s a bit of a lack of belief in our players and I think we showed it.

“You have to stick together and work hard and as soon as you start having a go at each other and talking behind each other’s back, it becomes hard.

“Do I believe we have got enough and will be OK? Yes, I do. ”

  1. Before Bilic was even sacked this blog was bestowing upon us the virtues of Moyes as a manager.

Once Moyes was appointed it was a spew of propaganda here about how great he is, how much improved training is, how better organised things are.

Now, having then lost at Watford, this week it seems to be an obsession with attacking the fans.

Sorry, I ain’t buying it…what’s wrong at this club isnt the fans. We merely reflect the problems. This is again another attempt to deflect from the real issues by this blogs “club insiders.”

You must take us for morons. STOP scapegoating the fans, the support, or the so called “abuse” and start properly digging out the core issues as much as you want to dig out the support.

  2. Yeah… It’s all our fault isn’t it? Bloody fans! Moaning about losing, lazy players, inept tactics. Maybe we should just shut up, put up, stay at home, keep quiet and watch it on SKY!!
After all, since when has Friday evening been about football eh?

Is this what they want? After all, the SKY payout is probably worth more to the club than us mere season ticket holders.

This club is doing a fantastic job… A fantastic job of losing passionate fans who are realising that the passion isn’t being given back in return.

  3. I watched the interview earlier in the week and despite not being a Noble fan it was refreshingly honest, he knows they haven’t been doing enough, they all knew under Bilic they weren’t doing enough, we have a new manager and new coaching staff now, I understand if others don’t want to give them a chance but I for one saw small improvements against a Watford side that played as well as any Watford team I have ever seen, their passing and movement was exceptional, we ran more and made more sprints than previously and if we continue that curve we will see the results, it could take weeks or even months to get the full benefit and their will be ups and downs, you can only bed a system in when you have had a run of games, we have a particularly tough run up until the Newcastle game but thats life, I want West Ham to win and our new management team to at least be given a fair chance to put their training in to practice. Noble has said they might not have deserved it but they need our support so imho lets try giving it and see what can happen COYI !!!

  4. He said the same thing 3\4 times over the last couple seasons I’ve got nothing against noible but the fans will get behind them once they start pulling there weight the fact he,s saying it again is a bit embarrassing because the players are still not learning from their mistakes

    • Were behind them every time they play kip ? He’s deflecting his and others failures on the pitch instead of putting his hands up and saying ! OK I’m part of the dross ! I’m not worthy of my place so I’m going upstairs to reflect what I achieved here and hopefully get a position in the club and let the club BRI g in a bit of pace into the m,/f ! Thanks for you’re support over the years ! I’m off ! But that’s easier said than done when you’re career is winding down ! I honestly feel for the bloke but ffs nobles move over you’re becoming a Nolan mk2 ! Hold you’re head up and bow out gracefully !👏

      • He’s not deflecting his own or the teams failures he’s simply asking for the fans to stick by the team even through this horrible time..it’s not knocking the fans and you know it..protesting the board during games anyway is going to make it worse…Nobes still has quality but just not as mobile unfortunately, the ball played to kouyate first half is never a ball Kevin Nolan could have made..noble has always been a better ball player than Nolan by far..

        • In you’re opinion ! Not mine and thousands of others ! Complete tosh ! Noble brings nothing to the table ? Take the c+b glasses off you’re not seeing the player just a person !! He’s a complete liability on the park ! Rubbish , embarrassing most games and below average the rest , stadium full every game ? Get behind the team ? Everyone of us do ? Its after the game the analysis’s start! Hence the position the clubs in ? You and others can’t see that ! So one pass makes him pickable does it ? WOW ? Just not as mobile 😂😂😂 ffs!! Can’t you see it ! Obviously not ?

  5. Why has the ICF article disappeared??

  6. Mile end mob objected 😂😂

  7. It is not the fault of the fans but I don’t think that is being said anyway. Fans supporting the team helps. When the fans turn against the players it doesn’t help. What is controversial about that?

Anyway we should all be supporting Atletico M & Qararbag tonight. If Chelsea don’t guarantee their CL place tonight against Q & Atletico keep their interest by beating Roma then the game in Dec between Chelsie & AM will still have something hanging on it. That is I think on the Wed night. Who do they play on the Sat following at 12.30? Yes you got it. Clutching at straws maybe, but if we have got just a bit of momentum going & have not been totally destroyed by Man C (oh ok I can’t keep up this optimism!) Still let’s keep our hopes alive….

    • That’s right Hammer64 noble is not blaming the fans at all, he is quite the opposite asking for them to stick by the players and not go the other way..yes nobles never been the same after 15/16 however what he is is honest as the days long..I have to be honest the amount of commitment shown over the years for OUR club can never or should be knocked..Im not going to knock a player who gives 100%..

  8. The fans will sing the Bubble song and let out a roar at kick-off. Beyond that it is up to the players on the pitch – if they put in some effort, some commitment, some determination, the support from the fans will follow. It always has and always will.

  9. Some cannot see that pagen ?
Just not football coherent ! Love gets you points on the board evidently ? Not skill and pace ?
Just keep giving up 600-700 pound a year for you’re season ticket , clap you’re hands and go back home to you’re council flat and be happy while the players go home to their mansions ?
One word comes to mind , bolloxx ?
