Noble puts it on the line

6MarkNobleWest Ham skipper Mark Noble has made it clear that three points at Stoke City tomorrow is a must!

Nobes has been utterly thrilled at the increase in level of performance after a week of games against top opposition but sees the match against the Potters as just as crucial.

He said: “We needed results and the last two we got against two of the best teams in the league. It’s been fantastic, but now we have to go and beat Stoke away.

“They’re in a similar position to us and we need to get three points there, and it would top off a fantastic week.”

A very Happy Christmas is on the line for us if we can follow through against City, Newcastle United, Bournemouth and West Bromwich Albion.

And the skipper said: “I would agree [the next two games are bigger than the three we’ve just had]. We need to pick up some more points and keep clean sheets, and try to score some goals.

“It is going to be a battle but I think anywhere from ninth or tenth downwards, if you get a couple of wins, you’re back up with them. This league, at the minute, is so tight, but we’re looking a lot stronger. If we can keep that form going into these couple of games I’m sure we will be fine.”

  1. Well. It starts with you Mark.
Stop going in with 2 footed challenges and frequently giving silly passes away to the opposition.

    • To be fair to him, he has looked a different player in the last few matches. Ok he still gives away the odd pass, but I’d rather have his passion in the middle of the park right now than Kouyate who looks like he couldn’t care less. I honestly thought he was done, but looks like there is still life in the old dog yet..

      • I agree, I think noble has been arguably our best player over the last two games..How anyone can criticise him is beyond belief really..

    • Darkhorse99 – watch the last two games back and he’s probably been our best player.. I don’t know what you were watching but it can’t have been the football..your comment is a joke. The two chances created for Arnautovic and Hernandez at the end were as good a passes as your likely to see in the league..

  2. I agree Nobes 3 points a must
