Noble told to “shake up the dressing room”

stimac-igor-slaven-bilicFormer Hammer Igor Stimac has backed his pal Slaven Bilic to lead the club out of its current problems.

And he made it clear whom he believes is responsible for the current difficulties declaring: “I point my finger at the players here to wake up and bring back to their game the same passion they showed last season.

The 49-year-old was part of the same Croatia side as Bilic  at EURO 96 and the FIFA World Cup in France in 1998, earning 53 caps between 1990 and 2002.

And he followed the manager  to east London in 1999, appearing 52 times over two season and remains entirely supportive of his long-time teammate.

He told the official site: “When Slaven got the job, I said that he will be an instant success at West Ham United. He knows what this job is about and how to turn things round.

“One thing I am pretty sure of is that Slaven will not lose his passion, commitment and confidence.

“The one thing which I am confused about is how some people in England question his ability after every game, forgetting how great a job he did last season.”

“We all know that Slaven is the right guy for West Ham and I point my finger at the players here to wake up and bring back to their game the same passion they showed last season.

“Not long ago they played with much more intensity, looking after each other and fighting as a team – defenders need to defend, midfielders to fight and pass the ball quickly to support the front players and make it easy for the them.

“They all stood up for Slaven last season, praising his work, and if they don’t want to lose him then I expect team captain Mark Noble to shake up the dressing room and the team to start producing good football again.”

  1. Noble…what has he done this season..send him to the palace

  2. Sad to say but Noble has done nothing so far this season.Should have earned a first full cap last season for his performances but alas this time round the fire seems to have gone from his belly along with a few others.I just hope Slav can shake it up as we are firmly in the spotlight right now after last years heady heights.

  3. What a load of crap . He couldn’t shake a bottle of sauce . He is the prime cause of our terrible performances . Fast losing faith in Bilic . If he dosen’t ditch Captain Terrible soon we will have no chance of recovery .

  4. Some of these experts make you laugh. Noble has done nothing this season so how can we expect him to “shake things up” when he hides on the wings like he is a winger. Noble is not standing up and being counted. I think some of the players have had a go at him as captain for not producing enough and it has hit his confidence. They may of told him he is riding on the “backs” of Payet, Lanzini, Obiang and Kayoute, which are all his midfield colleagues.

  5. Who shakes up Noble – he and Payet are the one’s who need sorting out, both look slow and lethargic!

  6. Something is missing but it isn’t just Noble who needs a good kicking. No one is busting a b0ll0k for the team this season.
