Obiang lays out objectives

|

obiang1Pedro Obiang is heading for the weekend game with confidence and optimism.

The midfielder has been performing like a new signing this season as he has added energy and verve to the midfield.

Manager Slaven Bilic has made it cler that if he continues to perform to his current standards the position in the middle of the park is his.

And the player made it cleear the next objective is to put our apalling London Stadium form behind us and gain a much needed win there this weekend.

He said: ““It is very important that we start winning at London Stadium. We know that Sunderland will be a difficult game but we need to carry on this good performance into the game on Saturday and if we show this kind of character we can win more games.”

“We have to keep this mentality. We need to do something different this season. We all know the start to the season has not been what we were looking for. But we have changed things around and all the players came together at the right time to get a result.”

And on the three at the back system he said: “We played that system a few times last season against Tottenham and Everton and we showed then that we are a good team. We can play with different systems and all the players can show their qualities playing in different positions.”
