Oxford impresses for Monchengladbach

|

reece-oxford-west-ham-oxford_3335636Reece Oxford completed a highly impressive 87 minutes in tonight’s Bundesliga clash between his loan club Borrusia Monchengladbach and Hamburg this evening.

Gladbach ran out 3-1 winners with the Hammers teenager catching the eye at the back with a calm and commanding performance.

The youngster left the action just three minutes from the end to receive a delighted response from his manager Dieter Hecking.

Playing in a holding midfield role, Oxford was rarely troubledas Gladbach rose to fourth position in the League when completing a well deserved victory with two goals from Raffael.

The Hammers England under 20 international had made his first Bundesliga start in the side’s 1-0 defeat of Freiburg when he impressed in in an unaccustomed right-back role.

But tonight he looked in even better form growing into the game the longer it continued.

I sincerely hope we don’t sell this lad, him and rice are our future… they are both so talented.. the potential is huge.
i feel sorry for Reece Burke to be honest, because he never got The hype these two lads have.

Has to come back to us.Yes the experience of playing abroad can only help him but to even contemplate selling him would leave the fans up in arms.Agreed he is part of our future along with Rice,Martinez,Quina,Johnson etc and is only in Germany because Slav had pretty much lost the plot by the time he allowed him to go.

    • JRS says:

Agreed gald he is getting starts ok with him staying on loan but now saying Quina could be sold too.
      Don’t sell our future ffs

No offense to Hart but loan him at elsewhere & we can get £100k wages back.

Are academy is better then it’s been in years let’s not sell them off let them work under a proper staff.
They’re on low wages. £30m kitty £12m for Sahko maybe AC too & talk of selling Ayew as well which I think is a.mistake
Our squad is already small realised Henry that’s good but PL don’t sell the future

Some sales are determined by the player and his agents. Quina won’t agree a new contract. It may be sell and get something or let him walk for free.

      Totally agree with you mate!
Add to your list, Haksabanovic, Samuelsen, and when he returns from injury, Nathan Holland. Of all these promising players, Domingos Quina is my stand-out player.
