West Ham’s under 21 squad last night scored a great 2-1 victory over Manchester City without either Reece Oxford or Reece Burke (right) despite them being fit.
And that has sparked training ground speculation the pair could be involved in the squad for today’s Premier League clash against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.
There is an unconfirmed rumour doing the rounds that Winston Reid has picked up a knock in training and the pair may have been witheld from last night’s action as cover.
It would be ironic were that to be the case given the manager’s statement yesterday that this is the wrong time to be blooding youngsters!
The Development team were in great form last night and goals from Dan Potts (14) and an own goal from Adam Drury (55) with just one response from City – Oliver Ntcham (76) gave them a well deserved victory.
good to see Potts get a goal after his recent injury problems, really hope he can break into the first team. COYI!
Ok, I’m just happy if youth plays, all the fans would be happy about that… BUT, this would further show the Allardyce’s inconsistency and inability to to his job.
If BFS believes in what he says Oxford and Reece have not to play.
BUT because he’s a clown, I’m just happy if Oxford and Reece play today.
BFS MUPPET
*to do his job
If he plays them today after what he said yesterday it will be to cover his big fat rear,
He then can say we lost because he gave youth a chance and he can also take his boys out of the firing line,
Don’t get me wrong I would love to see both of them get a chance
And yes great to see Potts back I love watching his farther and believe he still has a place at our club if only he had been given a run in the first team as Cresswell has,
COYI
Haha,Nice PR stunt to erase some of the damage Sam did yesterday.Reid suddenly has an injury so we better play one of the kids.Suprised that Song hasnt suddenly gone down with bird flu so Poyet has to start as well. What a crock of sh*t!!
