Payet injury update

|

Payet4Dimi Payet has suffered only a minor injury and is all set to take his place in the team which will meet Bournemouth at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Fears about his availability arose when reports of a new injury started circulating last night but ClaretandHugh has been assured there are no worries around the player’s fitness.

Payet in fact suffered a knock in the game against Chelsea but a club source has told us that it is very minor and that he is set to take his place in the squad.

We were told: “It’s more a case of bruising than anything else after Dimi took a minor knock. Everything looks fine.”

The club is looking to have Manu Lanzini back within a week according to manager Slaven Bilic and current estimates are that Sofiane Feghouli could take afurther two weeks to recover from a hamstring problem.

Great news and hopefully Antonio will be back on the right and we will be playing some great football again

All we need is a truly outstanding RB who can cover CB too. Not the other way around and then we will have a great squad assuming Sakho recovers from injury soon. I think my best team would then be
    Adrian,
    RB, Oxford, Reid, Cresswell
    Lanzini, Kouyate
    Antonio, Payet, Feghouli
    Sakho or Calleri
