Payet is not bigger than West Ham

|

payet2They say no one man is bigger than the club, that was true of Bobby Moore, Paolo Di Canio and now Dimitri Payet.

In a strange way his departure may revitalise the team as Bilic appeared to build the team around Payet so when he didn’t turn up, the team didn’t seem to work.

For all his fantastic free kicks, goals, assists and chances last season there were still games he didn’t turn up for. True, he was always there for the big games but seemed less interested in the smaller games but the media and fans always appeared to over look that flaw while he was scoring and creating assists.

payet3When the giant Payet shirt went up at London Stadium Β at the start of the season many supporters raised an eyebrow claiming it was too soon to have him hang among the West Ham legends and those fans have now have been proved correct.

He gone from hero to zero in a day and will now be remembered in the minds of West Ham fans as disloyal at the end, mentioned in the same breathe as Paul Ince, Jermaine Defoe and Frank Lampard. West Ham fans have long memories and bear grudges for a very long time, just ask Paul Ince.

Soccer - West Ham v Manchester UnitedIt is now time to move on, take down the giant Payet shirt in the stadium, stop singing the Payet song and remove the lyrics from the outside of the stadium and quickly sell off Β any remaining Payet branded clothing and shirts in the club store as soon as possible.

West Ham existed before Payet and we will exist after Payet, we were not and are not a one man team!

No hard feelings, no bitterness but it is time to concentrate on players who are proud to wear the West Ham badge and will fight on the pitch for our great club.

Is time to forget about the duplicitous cockroach. No more excuses for him.No more There is always two sides to every story.
His story is littered with tales of similiar behaviour.Pls dont tell me that in every instance it has been him that has been wronged or personal reasons have played a part.Enough making excuses for him & face up to the true nature of this man.

    Time to move on.

Yes no player is bigger than the club. Club needs to get rid and move on. As for the comment it may revitalise the team I have my doubts. It’s not just Payet who doesn’t want to put on a West Ham shirt. Valencia also and I believe it’s the same with Sakho. I think there’s a lot more problems behind the scenes so don’t be surprised we get turned over by Palace tomorrow.

Its time to cash in with the best offer we can possibly get this month and invest the money in a new striker and creative midfielder. There can be no backing down now as the club is what counts and his conduct is an insult to all of us who have followed this club for decades and will continue to do so long after he is dimly remembered as a one season wonder.Β£30 mill plus is a good return and should allow us to invest in some quality players and move forward without this spoilt prima donna.I for one have fond memories of hundreds of Great Hammers players going back to the early 70s who have worn the claret and blue with pride and passion and will not be losing any sleep over his departure.

this is an interesting one i have just read any chance you verify this hugh or sean

    • I cannot deny any of this but we heard the same rumours about the state of Payet’s marriage however without verification we decided not to repeat unconfirmed rumours which are potentially libellous. Only Payet and his wife know whether this is true. The missed training, his wife and children moving back to France and wage demands all have legs and rumour upon rumour about Payet getting special treatment have been doing the rounds for some time

Most of that has also been said here & elsewhere so yeah Ray it is all along the same lines.None of it leaves us any wiser as to what is fact & what is fantasy 😁
Interesting one though if Kouyate tried pulling him into line.I always thought Cheik might have it in him to a bit Payetesque. It shows what i know πŸ˜‚

Something needs to be done to stop top players leaving a team mid season otherwise we are going to be losing all the premier leagues top players to China. Top players should be made to sign a contract forbidding them to leave half way through a season. It could mean the difference between relegation or promotion or winning a title after all. The cost to a club is far greater than any transfer fee.

Dont know how true it is but i just read on the bbc sports app that Costa has gone into one at Chelski lol πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

His waist is bigger than the club

we need to cash in. Doubling our money is good business. In an ideal world that 25mill would buy Depay 14, Snodgrass 7, and Fonte 4………in an ideal world.

we can certainly replace him and his assists, with 2 very good players for that dough. Players who Want to be there. I think it could be exactly the thing to bring the fans and team together

  • Ray1962 says:

i have to be honest i am not really that bothered it is just a matter of the team getting there legs without him and i really do think they will. Yes a couple of players if we can get them and lets see. I certainly cant see us having a relegation battle (claret tinted glasses) and all that lol

  • winchester hammer says:

It may sound like sour grapes to other clubs’ fans but, let’s face it, he’s been absolutely dreadful this season apart from the Middlesbrough goal. If we can get 25m for a 29 year old that would be great business. Plus we could spread his massive wages across a couple of good players. Additionally it might allow Lanzini to come out from behind Payet’s shadow.

  • Radai Lama..Out of contract & available says:

Other teams fans can think its sour grapes Winchester but its the truth. He has been poor this season.I think more than just our fans recognise it as fact as well.Football pundits have dug him for his lack of performances all season 😁

    • Roman says:

Radai just go and tell Bilic you can fill the RB roll. You won’t have time for all this speculating on Payet or anyone else.lol

      • Radai Lama..Out of contract & available says:

I have set my sights higher now Roman.Im going all out to be Fat Frogs replacement.
I deserve more than being a rb with my skills lol πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

No hard feelings?? What, you’ve got to be joking – the guy has really done the dirty on the Club and Suppporters – no coming back from that and I bear grudges!
