A majority of Hammers fans want Dimi Payet sold immediately.

ClaretandHugh launched a new poll today after the French midfielder told the club he had no intention of ever kicking a ball for the club again.

And he appeared to make sure his position was clearly understood when he claimed to have developed a back pain ahead of the Crystal Palace from which the manager had excluded him anyway – we don’t think he understood!!!!

The ClaretandHugh poll – still running at https://www.claretandhugh.info/poll-should-payet-be-sold/ – asked the question: “Should he be sold or made to play for the Under 23s for the rest of the season?

The reaction brought the biggest response of any CandH poll with close on 3,000 having voted so far and returning a sizeable majortiy in favour of cashing in.

A total of 1,746 (61 per cent appx) said sell him with 1,098 (38pc appx) saying the club should make him sweat it out.
