Pellegrini keeps eye on Championship play-off Iron

Manuel Pellegrini intends to give every player on the Hammers books a chance of proving themselves in pre season – including Aston Villa target Robert Snodgrass.

CandH understands that the new manager has made it crystal clear that none of Snodgrass, Reece Oxford, Reece Burke or any other player will be moved out until he has taken a look at each of them in pre-season.

Snodgrass, in particular, is a wanted man after becoming central to Aston Villa’s arrival in the Championship play off final tomorrow which the manager is bound to watch closely with Fulham as the opponents.

Villa look certain to make a move for the midfielder should they reach the Premier League but given his impression on their campaign the Hammers will want around £15 million for the player who cost them £10 million should they choose to sell.

Reece Oxford – still a target for Borrusia Monchengladbach, will also be given the chance to prove himself in pre-season – before any bids are entertained along with fellow central defender Burke.

  1. It would be nice to have a really reliable deadball expert. Remember the Stoke game when we’ve could not break them down & they were just kicking lumps out of us on the edge of the box because they realised our free kicks were not even clearing the wall. Since Payet nobody has scored with any regularity. Half a dozen goalsdirect could be worth a lot of points over the season.
