Manuel Pellegrini has ensured that he has taken his delight at becoming West Ham boss to a wider audience than available on the club website where he gave his first interview.

After detailing his hopes of bringing in more players and explaining how happy he is to join the club, he took to his Twitter account to tell his 22k followers how he felt at landing the new job.

It will be interesting to see how many new followers the boss attracts over the next few weeks at @Ing_Pellegrini

He said: ” Proud and motivated to assume this new challenge at and to be back at . We hope to achieve all the goals we set and take the club to international competitions.”

Meanwhile the mainstream media is reporting that he will receive £75 million from the club to revolutionise the Hammers although that will stretch to over £100 million with player departures.

He has been told that every penny he generates from sales will go back into his transfer kitty.
