|

Manuel Pellegrini has spoken out this evening on his relationship with the Hammers board following his widely publicised comments on his needs at the club in the Chilean media.

The manager – having declared that he needs a big name player to attract others to the club in his remarks – has now made it clear there is no problem between himself and the two co chairmen.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror he said: “I speak to Mr Sullivan regularly and we are in a agreement about our approach to bringing new players to the club this summer.”

He added: We have already completed one very exciting signing with Ryan Fredericks coming to the club and we are working hard to bring more to West Ham for the supporters.”

And addressing his relationship with the board after suggestions there was a power struggle starting he said: “I need to make it clear there is absolutely no problem.

“I have been made very welcome by everyone at West Ham. I have a good relationship with the two chairmen.”

Meanwhile the The Mirror adds that a new goalkeeper, defender and midfielder have been identified.

It was The Mirror that was reporting that there was a problem between the manager and the board. Why do the media have so much interest in West Ham? They make up stories based on social media posts by our moaning fans. That isn’t news. Other moaners latch onto these lies and then it all gets blown out of proportion. Its so frustrating always seeing our club in fake news stories.

Headline news in all the papers, I don’t think. ‘No problems with the West Ham Board’. I can imagine sporting editors looking at that & saying ‘What I can’t believe that’. Can’t we run a story about the fact that Pellegrini has made a public denial of a row with the board, so it must be TRUE!! Run it anyway. Or we could do the one again about the fans invading the pitch because they don’t like the stadium’.

It is enough to make you bloody weep.
