Pellegrini to return with his final list!

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini is expected back at the club over the next couple of days as the serious business of organising departures and arrivals to the club begins.

The Chilean has been in regular contact with his newly appointed Director of Football Mario Husillos (pictured right) since taking his summer break and will present his ‘honed’ list of players to the board on his return.

Discussions were held before his departure on the signing of Ryan Fredericks from Fulham and the club were given his seal of approval to go ahead with the deal.

Now they are awaiting a final list of players from him on those they can seek to sell and those whom he sees as his priority targets.

There is particular interest in whom he wants to release among the defenders given that like David Moyes before him he sees that as an area which definitely needs strengthening.

Winston Reid could be in danger given his regular injury issues and there’s a strong belief that the manager sees Declan Rice as a holding midfielder in front of a newly organised back line.

However, the end of the week looks fascinating as the manager lets his wishes be known after lengthy chats with Husillos.

  1. My estimation of him has definitely increased following the revelation that he confronted the gunmen and threw himself on one of them, then after the robbers ran away he and his family enjoyed their meal in a restaurant as though it was nothing out of the ordinary.
