A ClaretandHugh poll of 2,239 fans saw 42.5 per cent (952) claim that would be the club’s finishing position at the end of the new season.

Unsurprisingly 32.34 per cent ( 724) gave an eighth to tenth finish  their vote but there were a highly optimistic 68 (3.04 per cent) who reckoned the club would finish as champions!

Here are the remaining votes in each category:

2nd to 4th: 1.63 per cent (37)

5th to 6th: 14,47 per cent (324)

11th to 12th: 3.53 per cent – (79)

13th – 14th: 1.43 per cent (32)

15th – 17th: 0.26 per cent (6)

Relegated 0.72 per cent (17)

I would like to know who the 17 voted us to get relegated this season…

Perhaps it was Rugby and his mates?? LoL As far as the poll goes I would say all Premier League teams would have recruited and were optimistic for the forthcoming season but we all know the reality is quite different.3 teams will be relegated and optimistic supporter polls won’t save them.

A good cup run we could make happen and get some Silver even League cup. It would add some history to the “LS” and boost confidence. 6-9,finish for me with a real cup run and get some silver would be brilliant
