The wording of this poll is very misleading. Whether intentional or not it is ambiguous as evidenced by the comments here. As it is written a “yes” vote is a vote against standing and a “no” vote is a vote in favor of standing. That being said I don’t feel the results of this specific poll can be trusted to show any majority opinion on this matter as it is fallacious from the start.

I couldn’t answer because the vote is too simplistic. I do think football fans should be allowed to stand but in designated non family areas. If I just said yes then that would intimate that I support anti social attitudes by some supporters and I absolutely don’t. I think based on the discussions that have already been had on these forums that many would split their vote on standing based around whether it was in designated areas. Could you update your poll to have a 4th option I.e yes if standing was in designated areas ?

It was easy for me No32.I can only deal with simplistic stuff haha 😀

  • The poll has been updated to be more specific and the results reset

I think you are missing the point and the point that is making people angry….it’s not just about increasing the attendance, I couldn’t give a monkey’s about that tbh, it’s about, old, infirm and children wanting to sit down and who paid for a SEAT unable to see because the folk in front prefer to stand. I’m all for standing but the club should have managed the transition from the BG better.

off topic but does anyone else get the dreaded spinning circle on this site waiting for one of the many add sites to populate…AMS 1 -ib.ADNXS.com seems to be the worst, very frustrating for the site to load when you know its just an ad that hasn’t loaded properly.

  • PopRobson says:

Back on topic I realise my comment about not giving a monkey’s may have sounded a bit harsh but I don’t believe it’s only Irons fans buying these tickets. I have been a fan for over 30 years but due to living a fair way away haven’t had a ST in my own name ever ( I shared one for a couple of years during the BFS times…) so I was one of the last 6000 to get one of the cheap season tickets. Literally back row (well current back row) of the Bobby Moore upper….I was shocked against Bournemouth that when the teams ran out to ‘bubbles’ only a handful of us in those last few rows stood up and sang…….who doesn’t stand up and belt out bubbles no matter how many times you get to a game let alone ‘season ticket holders’. Me thinks they not the real deal….which makes me think any extra sold may not be the real deal either.

Oh, I thought it was Graham Poll again!

Only joking, a big fat ‘No’ from me – sit down and watch the ****ing game!

The question is clear and the answer is clear. As Pop Robson says , people who paid for the seat want to see the football, why should some selfish retard block there view. ( and I mean all suporters, not just old infirm or children. )
