Poll: Should West Ham sign Jack Wilshere?

West Ham is said to be advanced talks to sign free agent Jack Wilshere on a possible 3-year deal worth £100,000 per week to become a Hammer.

Former Hammers Dean Ashton and Sir Geoff Hurst have already advised against the move claiming he is injury prone although in reality, he has made 67 appearances over the past two seasons for Arsenal and Bournemouth.

In today’s Claret and Hugh poll we ask the question whether you believe we should sign the 26-year-old midfielder who was a boyhood West Ham fan.

  1. Think it would be a great signing…hugh \ Sean I’ve had a lot of posts taken off and I’m not sure why as there hasn’t been any swearing plse explain if you can ..you may not like my moody posts wich is fair but it would be a bit boring if everyone agreed it could be a genuine mistake but they’re has been 2\3 so I doubt it ..regards moody negative hammerkip😂😂

    • Don’t look at names Hammerkip just the content. Depends on whether they were abusive towards us or the site, swearing us etc. There are some who regularly wanna knock the site itself or us. We won’t have that just as we won’t have forum members slagging each other down. There’s plenty of other sites who love that. We try to be a bit more civilised – it ain’t the wild west. If you are not guilty I apologise. But can’t think of any other reason

      • No worries Hugh I never swear anymore as I know you don’t like it maybe it’s me thinking I posted something and I didn’t..my memory is not so good anymore I have been a bit fed up with our targets and get a bit moody but that’s about it …lol no worries boss ..maybe it’s the heat as I love in Cornwall and it’s unbearable at the min ..👍👍🙅🙅🙅🙅🙅🙅🙅

        • If you are passing anywhere near Torbay on the way back buddy we’ll catch each other for a coffee. Get me on messenger.I’ll give yer the number, Blistering ennit? LOL

  2. Can’t find the poll (?)

  3. With due respect to Sir Geoff and Deano, their not known for picking teams and not best placed to judge on Wilshere’s injuries,I think he’s been unlucky rather than having a recurring problem,I hope this transfer goes through.COYI

  4. In a word, YES!

  5. Just read somewhere that, since he started at Bournemouth, he has played more games than Lanzini. He has had injury issues, but they seem to be over. In any event, our medical team will be rigorous to check for weaknesses or lasting problems. We won’t sign him unless we are sure.

On a free, even with a high salary, it’s good business for me.

  6. Fans are quick to have a moan at Carroll for his injuries and because he likes a pint. Wilshere is has the same attributes and is also a smoker. Hardly your model professional. No

  7. Opposed it when it was raised a while back. Now I think I would give it a thumbs up. I will regret that inOctober when he has had a run of good games then picks up a bad injury. But as a free …..think you have to take it.

    • perfect no 10 for us with Arnie and potentially Hernandez also will be a real threat going forward through the middle and out wide COYI !!!

  8. All players pick up injuries, that is the nature of professional sports.
Jack will be the lad and contribute to the cause while we must accept he will get injuries….. Great signing, Welcome home Jack Wilshire!!
