Poll: Who do you want in charge at West Ham next season?

Most end of seasons brings a managerial merry go round!
West Ham looks likely to stay up but the big question for CandH is whether David Moyes – or one of several other candidates – is the right man to take us forward – next season.
Although we have already run on poll on Moyes we feel that a more comprehensive look at the situation may be necessary notably as a result of our performances over the past few games.
So this ClaretandHugh poll gives some of the popular candidates as a preference to the 54-year-old Scot.
Here’s the question then is it Moyes or one of them or, indeed, someone not named

  1. The time to do this in my opinion would have been after the final game, or when we were safe from relegation. There is little chance of him being at the club next year if we go down & most of those who are in favour of him staying add the proviso ‘if he keep us up’. This will probably result in a ‘Moyes out ‘ vote so the pious statements from this site a few weeks ago about ‘ uniting to get behind the club’ look slightly hypocritical now. Many supporters ( including even those of some sides in the top six) who are asked ‘would you prefer someone else’ to manage your club will say yes & loads of the bottom 14 will definitely. What is the point?

  2. MARCO SILVA??! Surely he’s the Front-Runner being a free agent too?

  3. Marko Silva and Slav Jokanovic, yes please
    Howe or Dyche good!
Terry Westley, my favorite dark horse!

  4. The only manger i would like in that list is Rafa. If you cant get him, stick with Moyes.

  5. Agree colejames123. But I reckon he is as cautious as Moyes, so not much point making the change unless the view is that he is better at being cautious! I cannot believe how high that Newcastle squad has ended in the PL. He might be available in the summer too, since I can’t see him hanging around up there unless he is given a mighty big transfer budget. But they would be mad to let him go. Not sure he would come to us anyway- the way he has coped in the last two years will mean quite a queue for his services. And the sort of money he will demand for players will have our owners reaching for the smelling salts!

  6. Jokanovic for me definitely a great cv and young and just needs backing but if he gets promotion again like Watford he will probably stay with Fulham and rich Khan as the stadium will be rebuilt and looks great when finished. This mob in charge will probably give moyes the chance as he won’t spend much and we won’t win anything just staying safe like Everton did with unexciting football . Mind you definitely rather have moyes than fat rafa that’s for sure
