Reid focused on the priorities

Winston Reid – available after suspension

Winston Reid has declared it’s time to move on and look back on the positives from the game against Arsenal.

The central defender made an impressive return to the defence and told the official site that were things to be pleased about despite the defeat.

He said: The positive from Tuesday is that we limited Arsenal’s chances.

“We kept hold of what we have been doing well in the last few games, which is filling areas in front of the box, getting men behind the ball, getting blocks in and making things difficult for the opposition.

“We do need to be better with the ball once we have it, and give the ball to each other in better situations, but we’ll take the positives from the game and move forward. We know what we need to work on.

“We wanted to do well at Arsenal, but our priority is the league and we need to get further up in the table and continue the form that we’ve been in.

“We’ve got some important games coming up before the New Year and we need to focus 100 per cent on those.”

  1. Lets be honest.Unless there are huge upsets tonight your semi final line ups will involve Man City,Man Utd,Chelsea and Arsenal. Its a reflection of the game today and the money involved. If they all avoid each other in the FA cup you would not bet against the same 4 in the semis there too with Liverpool and Spurs maybe gatecrashing the party. No coincidence that we are the last team from outside the top division to win the FA cup 37 years ago now.Its not a level playing field and has not been for ages and people i speak to say the romance is gone in the latter stages of these competitions.Would love to see the likes of Guardiola,Mourinho,Conte and Wenger manage Swansea,West Brom or even Newcastle and see what success they could achieve.MONEY,MONEY.

  2. They wouldn’t achieve jack 💩 64 lol! And as for reid,s comments about positives from a arsenal second string is just another player fooling himself and trying to fool the supporters , they need to keep it shut and do it on the pitch ! Limiting arsenals chances is comical ! My old u18 side could have played better than west ham last night ! Priorities are new blood to stabilise the ship and give us some balance and a plan B, at present were lopsided and well short in the squad , Moyes needs to get the dead wood out in Jan and start building his own team, and that means getting rid of anyone in this squad regardless of who they are !
But big time charlie moneybags might have a say in that ! 😎

  3. Be nice to have a shot on target against their second 11, if your going to be negative in a cup quarter final Moyes then you’ve learnt nothing from your 25 years of management, a one trick pony! ( one trick more than Bilic )
