Report: £26m Porto striker scouted by Hammers

Fresh reports in Portugal suggest West Ham want to sign €30m Porto striker Moussa Marega. Correio da Manha claims that Wolves, Aston Villa and the Hammers are all interested in the forward and have been scouting the player.

Marega scored 23 goals and eight assists in the Primeira Liga in 2017/18 as Porto ended their five-year wait for a league title, but it looks likely that he will be on his way this summer. Porto need to sell in order to avoid FFP sanctions and have slapped a £26 million price-tag on his head, understood to be around £10 million less than his buy-out clause.

The player’s agent, Aziz Ben Aissa has spoken previously surrounding interest from English clubs, stating: “It is true that there are early contacts with several English clubs, among them Everton, but no decision has been made. And it will only be with the natural knowledge and consent of FC Porto. Anything else that comes after this will be speculation.”

  1. Looks reasonable but also temperamental when he shoved the other player in the face. I’m sure he would’ve been sent off for that. Maybe a good squad player behind Arnie and Chica.
