Report: Anderson to arrive in London today

The Daily Mail claim that West Ham have now been granted work permit for Felipe Anderson as they prepare to smash their transfer record in a deal worth in region of £40million. The move is set to be announced in the next 24 hours claims Simon Jones for the tabloid.

The paper quotes sources in Italy claiming that a deal for the Lazio winger to move to the London Stadium was on the cusp of being completed the Hammers increased their offer.

West Ham fan and journalist Lee Clayton added last night as England faced Croatia “I know the focus is elsewhere, but West Ham’s work permit application for Felipe Anderson has been granted. The transfer should be announced in the next day or so. Dotting is and crossing ts on deal”

Football Italia report that Anderson left the Lazio training ground fuelling reports he will sign for West Ham.

They claim deal was struck yesterday between the two clubs after intensive negotiations over several weeks.

The 25-year-old attacking wide man, who can also play in midfield or as a support striker, left training early yesterday afternoon, while his teammates were still hard at work. Sky Sport Italia also showed him hugging a Lazio fan goodbye, as he is due in London on Thursday for a medical and to sign the contract.
