Report: Brazilian snubs West Ham

Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla claims that Bernard has rejected the chance to join West Ham, instead preferring a mega-money move to China.

The report on Pedulla’s own website claims the Hammers had put an important offer on the plate through intermediaries in an attempt to convince the Brazilian player to become a Hammer. The 25 year old midfielder has officially announced in recent days his farewell to Shakhtar on a free transfer. Bernard had initially shown signs of openness to a move to West Ham, but Pedulla says that soon turned into an almost definitive no.  The report claims Bernard is now evaluating some proposals coming from China.

  1. Main target trasfer dragging on and on as we don’t want to pay the asking price
other targets not coming as wewon’t match wage demads
yet more players being tempted bythe riches in China

after a promising start this summer is beginning to have an awfully famiiar feeling about it

  2. I agree where are all these big trantransfers????…pre season is coming quick and it just isn’t happening..like you say bear they refuse to go that extra mile and that’s always been the problem and still is by the looks of it …we never get the big ones done

  3. 190k pw for Pistore….NOOOO! 50mill,+ for Fernandez….NOOOO! We can’t just throw money at clubs because they demand it. If you don’t agree with a players’ valuation then you negotiate. If you can’t come to an amicable agreement then you move on to the next target. If we’d payed the ridiculous price for Fernandes that would have been it. No money left for the other vital business we need to do.
