Report claims Paraguay central defender on way to Irons

|

West Ham are tonight being reported as having agreed a deal to sign Paraguay international Fabian Balbuena from Brazilian giants Corinthians.

The 26 year old central defender signed for Corinthians in 2016 from Paraguyan outfit Libertad and has been attracting interest across Europe for some time.

But according to this evening’s reports it seems the Hammers are close to making him their second central defensive signing of the summer.

The news has been broken by Cesar Merlo of Tcy Sports, a big media company in South America who claims the Irons are set to offer the player a four year deal at an undisclosed fee.

The defender’s contract runs for another three years at Corinthians and although no fee has been made public on the back of the report, Transfermarkt.com has a price of €5 million on his head!

So going from maybe spending 25mill on mawson or 12 mill on dawson we now looking at a cheap option ?
Goes along with going from 35 mill + on Anderson to jack on a free ….. hmmm

We know what Dawson and Mawson delivered last season which was relegation 8586, get what you are saying about saving money though, Wilshere and Payet would make a good compromise on not getting Anderson for me anyway and Payet is going to cost 25 – 30m so money would be spent there, as for this Paraguay defender if its true, the transfermarket values are usually about a 5th of what they are touted for so I suspect he will cost a lot more than their valuation… I may be wrong anyway and not disagreeing with you just an opinion 🙂

Transfermkt has their real values the clubs have monopoly values, if he has been attracting interest from Europe I can’t see him costing £5m can anyone else ?

The two players we should not be touching with a barge pole are Wilshere and payet. Pelligrini is a fool imo to be even considering signing these players. Bad days ahead for my beloved hammers – we are in big trouble. Signing this c/h for 5m and Anderson for 35m are much better deals.

Pellergrini a fool ha ha that’s why he’s won championships around the globe he knows wot he’s doing & why the rush for signings the league starts for us on the 12th of August & if he gets players in to early & they get injured in these silly friendlies then we’re back to square 1 COYI
