Report: Fenerbahce reject bid for Brazilian midfielder

Reports from Turkey claim that Fenerbahce have rejected a 12 million Euro (£10.5m) bid for Brazilian midfielder Josef de Souza from West Ham however the article says the club is holding out for a 15 million Euro (£13m) bid.

De Souza was the subject of an offer of just under £11m by West Brom in the summer transfer window last year, only for the club to pull out of the deal. The 29-year-old Brazilian has allegedly been on the radar of West Bromwich Albion for over 10 months, but with the Baggies now relegated, it does appear that a move for him is no longer on the cards, with the player still keen on Premier League football. Wolverhampton Wanderers have also been linked with a move for De Souza

Souza has been a regular on the Fenerbahce team sheet since arriving from Sao Paulo in 2015 on a four-year deal.

The former Brazil international has played 99 Super Lig games for the side, scoring eight times while featuring in central midfield, deep midfield and central defence.

  2. Are we to infer from this that West Ham have made a bid for him?
