Report: Hammers in for central defender

MinaWest Ham are tonight reported to be chasing 25 year old Ecuador defender Arturo Mina along with Everton and Southampton.

ESPN  claim we and the two other Premier League clubs are keen to recruit the central defender which makes sense following the departure of James Tomkins.

Mina has impressed for Independiente del Valle, playing a major role  in helping the club reach the semi finals of the Copa Libertadores this season.

RR ModerateHe has also established himself as a key member of the Ecuador national team and was an ever-present in the side as they reached the quarterfinals of this summer’s Copa America in the U.S.

  1. Doubtless Enner will put in a good word for us 😀

  2. Right footed or left ?
I thought we were giving youth a chance ?
Burke must be over the moon with 3 others infront of him already, and Oxford will rush to sign a contract now.
With Ginge,Ried ,Ogbonna, already fighting for 2 places and Henry still with the club,
Kouyate and Noveld can play there as well,
    Over kill I think,

  3. I’ll be well cheesed of if we replace Tomkins with him or the stretcher case Belgium
