Report: Hammers move on Canaries midfielder

maddisonThe Irons are tonight being reported as having made a £12m bid for Norwich City’s midfielder James Maddison.

However, if The Guardian’s story is correct, the offer will only have been an opening gambit on a player who impressed David Moyes during the Canaries losing League Cup semi final appearance against Chelsea.

Maddison has been linked with a number of clubs including Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, and Norwich are believed to have a £16 million price tag on him.

He  is a product of the Coventry City academy going on to join Norwich in 2016 and spent the start of last season on loan with Scottish Premiership outfit Aberdeen, scoring twice in 14 appearances.

We will check the story out and bring you any necessary update as soon as we can.
