West Ham are reportedly showing an interest in Napoli striker Roberto Inglese.

According to Sky sources in Italy the 26-year-old spent last season on loan at Chievo and  is allegedly keen to secure a permanent transfer.

Those sources are claiming tha tthe Hammers are the latest club to make contact over a deal for Inglese.

Inglese is currently assessing all his options and there are also reports that he is of interest to old Hammers adversaries Sporting Lisbon.

Napoli are prepared to sell but it is generally believed they would want around £17 million for the player who grabbed 12 goals in 36 games for his loan club last season as the finished 14th in Serie A with Napoli claiming the runners-up spot.

It seems unlikely that he will be a priority signing at the moment with manager Manuel Pellegrini looking for defenders and midfielders
