Reports from Italy suggest that a €38m (£33m) bid for Felipe Anderson from West Ham has been rejected.
Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Lazio won’t sell for anything below €50m (£44m) for Anderson.
The reason why the asking price is so high explains the article is that Lazio would owe Santos 25% of any profit they make on the player (they paid €8m for him), so the more they get for him, the more they get to keep.
The report also suggests that Watford and Monaco are also tracking developments and are keen on the Brazilian.
The representatives of Anderson are set to hold discussions with Lazio over their client’s future today.
Lazio are not keen on selling the 25-year-old while also at the same time raising the prospect of a new contract. But Anderson is unsure about continuing with Lazio and his representatives are due to mull over the situation with the Serie A club.
If true I think that we are paying way over the odds, just sit tight and Lazio will sell.
Sit tight and we may lose him. Sometimes you have to pay the going rate, but it would be good to get him for a bit less than €50 million euros.
Here we go again we been here before yes he is overpriced but like Tony says just pay it and get it done this boy will have sel! On value as well ..sometimes u just got to pay up and that’s were Sullivan fails.
So THAT’S why the ICF boys are in Rome today. Forget the legends match, their powers of ‘persuasion’ are legendary (just ask Sully and the Baroness)😄
