Report: Leicester City centre back linked with Hammers

|

The Mirror is today reporting that West Ham are keeping an eye on Aleksandar Dragovic’s situation with Leicester City.

Leicester have the option to sign the centre back on a permanent deal for around £15 million from Bayer Leverkusen, However, Leicester have recently signed Jonny Evans from West Brom. As a result, Leicester may not feel the need to sign Dragovic but the defender is said to be keen on staying in the Premier League which has put the likes of West Ham, Everton and Brighton.

Dragovic played previously in Ukraine for Dynamo Kiev, he played in Switzerland for FC Basel and he played in Germany for his parent club Bayer Leverkusen. Dragovic joined Leicester on loan last August but playing time was limited.

The centre-back managed just 11 Premier League appearances for Leicester City last season, a surprisingly low number given Leicester had their fair share of centre-back problems last season.

This guy seems a fairly good central defender-strong-good in most aspects of the trade.
That said, is he fast enough (acceleration included) for such an important position.
Furthermore, he is not noted for goal-scoring..
