Report: Sakho wants to move on

Diafra-Sakho-315346Diafra Sakho has reportedly asked to leave the Irons following what the Mail calls “a revised offer from Sunderland.” The report claims Sak and Slaven Bilic have met and the striker has revealed he sees his future away from the club.

Sunderland have made a revised offer of around £12m for Sakho with manager Sam Allardyce being reported as keen to get a deal done quickly.

However, the Hammers have already told ClaretandHugh that the original bid for the striker was nowhere near the £11m reported earlier and contained clauses which would have seen the striker having to play 30 games a season minimum for them to get the figure.

They value Sakho at a minimum of £15m anyway so it seems there may be a long way to go on these negotiations whether Sakho wants a move or not.

A source told us this afternoon: “The situation is as it always has been – no players will be leaving this club until we have better players to replace them.”

  1. Its been obvious for a while now . Sorry to hear it but Slav , true to his word was having no crap from anyone !! We move on . Just don’t give him away , Ffs don’t give him to the hippohippocrite ? Send him and Valencia abroad if possible as they will only return to hurt us ? Maybe a part deal for lacazette or the bat , so its two forwards we are looking for, we seem to be interested in quite a few m/f players , carol can’t be trusted for his fitness , we will see ? I’m sure the club has Slavs list ! So not to concerned . Shame, I liked sakho , a player with a work ethic which will be hard to replace . Slav will make it good I’m confident in saying that. Now we wait for the outcomes ! The suspence is killing me lol !

  2. Saks a great player, and I thought his heart was at the club this time last year. I would him to stay, when fit is the perfect striker for Billics formation. BUT if he doesnt want to be there, get him out and spend the 10/15 mil on a player who does.

Every player said success was due to the team bond. One player can ruin that!

  3. This is all we bluddy need….Sakho does seem a bit moody/sulky; he even told the youngsters always play for oneself; it is your career. Well, maybe, but it is most of all about playing for the team….Antonio endears himself to the all and sundry by having a fantastic attitude, which Sakho can’t boast. He hasn’t been doing the crossed hammers arms in goal clelbrations for a while….When you look at the bright future of WHU, and a boss like Slaven, Sakho wanting to give that up stinks, frankly.
The fans and Slaven had been very patient, waiting for him to return from various injuries; he can’t play regularly if he is injured; is her blamming WHU for THAT??…
I think we reluctantly have to say enough is enough. We don’t need poison in the dressing room…But that means searching for 2 strikers! 1 is hard enough! BOO…HISS…

  4. We should use a few million to bump up the Lacazzette offer

  5. So what really happened at the end of last season? Is this wanting to move to do with that or is it just agent/media bull? What ever happens i can see at least one leaving, if it was down to me it would be valencia. He is a top striker byt not cut for the PL imo. Moses & Emenike(?) have gone so that does free up wages, so let valencia go, buy two new who can still remember where the goal is. Sounds easy when I say it 😀

  6. If he wants to leave tell Sunderland he is £13 million now and let him go,
Replace him with a good forward but still hunt that big name signing,
We still have AC and Valencia to build on

    • Sorry bubs -don’t agree entirely. Certainly if Sacko wants out, let him go but at a fee consistent with this summers valuations. £13mil is in my view an absolute minimum with the money coming immediately and not spread out down the line and dependent on appearances. The Hippo would play a real game with us in that scenario. Where I disagree is building around AC and Valencia. AC is injury prone and in any case when he plays we seem to revert to the long ball game. And Valencia is not in my view up to top 4 premier league standard. Keep AC (because we would have a problem off loading him due to his wage demands and injury history). But let Valencia go and bring in 2 new pacey ball playing strikers.

  7. Not saying Valencia is who I want I would sell all 3 and bring in 3 new players Wilson,Bony and Barahino with Dehenney as another to replace Emineke,
But that is not going to happen,
What ever happened between Sak and Slav was never the same again,
Sak has forgotten who gave him his big start and it was not Hippo now he has got to big for his boots and hope he enjoys the warm sunny climate of Sunderland,
If The Suds don’t coff up the dough for Batman he will end up with us,
Still plenty of time and I think AC will not want to move
