Slav addresses the Payet question

payet3Slaven Bilic admits that Dimi Payet is one of those players he wants to see on the pitch at the end of the game at Stamford Bridge on Monday evening.

The manager admits that his team selection options are very open for the game with “one or two” positions still to be decided but he added: ” There are some players you want to see on the piych at the the last 15 mnutes and Payet is one of them.

andreayew726“I’m not going to keep on about how important he is to us – of course he is. He came back in very good shape and doesn’t need a long pre-season but definitely, he is not fit for 90 minutes.”

He insists that although most would admit we had a “really good season” in 2015-16 “there are no yesterdays in football” but claims we have really improved the squad.

He said: “We didn’t need to change from the bottom up. One or two left -Alex Song and Emineke and one we didn’t want to lose, James Tomkins – and hopefully they will have been replaced by better players.

He’s particularly pleased with capturing Andre Ayew saying: “He has played at Marseilles and knows Dimi Payet. He can be a game changer from certan positions but the main thing, as I told the chairman, was that he wanted to come.”

  1. Moses Song Emenieke out.
Fegoulie Nordveit Caleri in. A big improvement every one of them.
Include Ayew for Valencia ( probably ), and we look good.
We have also increased the numbers of quality players like at left back.
