He insists he is only concentrating on ending his side’s poor run of form against Accrington in the EFL Cup third round tomorrow.
He said: “I didn’t speak about [the new contract] in March, or April or May. Not publicly, not with the chairman to be fair.
“We never discussed that I have a contract. I am totally focused on training and games. I never like to talk about that.
“I said at the time that my contract is the next couple of games. It was then like that and it is now like that. That’s the way I work.”
It was on here last week that David Sullivan won’t think about a new Contract for Slaven Bilic until next January at the earliest to as Sullivan said ‘prove he’s not a one-Season wonder’ – that makes sense!
