Snodgrass escape route looks on cards

snoddy5West Ham midfielder Robert Snodgrass is reportedly wanted by Aston Villa on a loan deal with a view to a permanent move next summer.

And it’s likely should Steve Bruce make his interest official the Irons will try to do a deal but it will need to be on a wage sharing arrangement.

The Hammers know that with his wages around £60k a week they will need to pay about 50 per cent of that if the deal is to go through.

The news of the possible interest comes in the Mail which is known to have links to informed Hammers insiders who have made it clear to ClaretandHugh  they are ready to let the Scotland international out should the right offer appear..

Snodgrass has failed to make any impact at the London Stadium making just eight starts in 15 appearances and Villa now appears to be a realistic escape route.

Villa spent a staggering £78.5m in the Championship last season and owner Dr Tony Xia has told Bruce that he will have to rein in his spending this season for the club to avoid financial fair play sanctions

  1. Unless they can take all his wages or go permanent I wouldn’t yet. With Feggo injured and looks gone to Galatasary. Ayew is not a RWer but that is Snodgrass’s main position even tho he was player in LW last season. He is inverted.
If we bring in someone else in by all means. But if not we will being playing Ayew there which is not strong spot until Antonio is fit.
Still need cover, if Feghouli stays yes. I think he is better suited.
Or if we bring in AKEM ZYRICH which we should anyway wanted him last summer with Payet. Now we need Creative mid and links with Max Arnold as well he would be great too. Both not in their twilight years 24 and 23.
Jota is are Fav by odds and he would be decent has back up for Antonio and good be good in Premier at 26. He is said to be holding out for a move here.
    Most likely to sign mids…

On my Engima Tablet… Laz pls translate

  2. I,m happy with the signings we have so far but the amount of player’s that are leaving or have left is staggering its fine if we replace them but at the moment if u look what we have spent to what we have sold we havnt spent hardly anything… Why we are letting feghuli go is beyond me wen he looks like he is started to look half decent.. We 100% nerd at least 2\3more signings or we will have another poor season if we get injuries like we always do…

  3. Get rid soonest…… if not, quicker!!

  4. Holland could play in his place if we get no one in until the ant is ready , which has been penciled in for saints ? I’m sure that’s been said 😉
Just get him on the M1 bloody quick 😎😎 it wasn’t right for him here for some reason ,
I thought he would do well ? Must buy a new armchair with controls this one aint predicting like it used to 😂😂😂

  5. Just get rid of him he is a liability does not perform another poor buy from Bilic

  6. Shyt happens,some signings work out,some dont.Thats life 😃
I couldn’t really give a flying whether we spend 70 mill or 40 mill if it is spent on the right players & we dont just aimlessly throw money about to please some punters.
I aint got a clue who signed him,i have read another shyt Sullivan punt & another shyt Bilic signing from various fans.Guess you just got to take a dart,a blindfold & stick the two names on a wall to deciede who too blame 😂🍺

  7. OK it was a panic buy ! But it was a good one IMO! He’s done well everywhere he’s been !
It was to big a challenge for him mentally I think ! He will go to villa and do well probably
But to blame sully an bilic on this one ain’t correct !! As said it didn’t work out , shyte happens😉

    • He was also played on the left and has always mainly played played inverted. 7 goals and 5 assists in 20 apps for Hull is great.
But Slav wanted him on LW and to be like Payet was never going to happen.

If Carvalho happens we get a proper DCzm that can stop are massive Turnover in mid and cover our CBs. I would wet myself and look like Jota I’d a good bet. I like Jota and for under £8m trade for Snod would work both ways expect his wages.
Not Akem but would be happy!
We have Net Spend £10m after sales not counting if Feggo goes

  8. If anyone should be blamed its that ‘orrible little Frog who naffed off & left us in the shyt. When he left Snodgrass was pretty much the best available during a Jan transfer window. If we hadnt replaced Frog with someone, anyone, there would have been a right drenching of pants amongst some fans.

  9. Tony Xia has already said this rumour is just that a rumour.
