Snodgrass on target again

snoddy5Robert Snodgrass is creating more discussion about his future after grabbing a brace at Aston Villa this afternoon.

After scoring away at Middoesbrough in the 1-0 win on Sarurday, the on loan Hammers added two more in Villa’s 5-0 rout of Bristol City.

The Scot – on a  season long loan from the Irons – was in the right place at the right time to extend the midlanders lead to 2-0 over Bristol City in the 34th minute and added another on the hour.

Hammers summer target, Scott Hogan had given them the lead over Bristol City.

The former Hull wideman – who had a disappointing time at West Ham following his arrival this time last year – is proving a big hit at Villa Park and took his goals tally to six from 22 appearances for the Championship outfit this afternoon.

Snodgrass has a contract with the Irons until 2020 and such has been his success at Villa it will be intriguing to see manager David moyes’ attitude towards him at the end of the season.

  1. Much of that may depend on whether we are in the championship or the PL, lets hope its the latter, Snodgrass is imo a decent player, much in the way of Noble better than Championship level but only in the lower echelon of steady PL performers.

  2. If Snodgrass was at Hull and we were rumoured to be buying him this Jan, what would your view be? Exactly, he is at best a very average PL player.
And it’s not Moyes attitude towards Snodgrass we should be concerned about, it is our owners attitude towards Snodgrass. Can’t keep their Fekkin mouths shut. As others have said, we might need him next season in the Championship. Geordies winning, Palace, Southampton and WBA picking up excellent points. The table isn’t looking great and we need all three points tomorrow, no excuses.

  3. He was a decent player before West Ham signed him , useless at West Ham and better at Villa !!! . Bilic seems the common denominator imo . . Bring him home and stop looking for transfers . And give Reece Oxford his chance . We need to sign a striker , but we already have a few players to fill that gap . With Lanzini & Hernandez & Carroll together with Antonio we should have enough without signing more . Leave that business for the summer.
    Scrap the January window .

  4. No room for excuses tomorrow at home to West Brom . We have had a week to get things sorted and we face a not too good and tired opposition . A failure to take 3 points would be fatal at this stage of the season and a disastrous start to 2018 . I am fully expecting a convincing win and a surge up the table …
The Spuds are far from unbeatable also .

  5. Agree Jimbo & Kevin I would have Snod back in Jan if we could as thin as are squad is & under proper staff.
But he has responded to Brady by 3 goals in 2 games & some very lovel goals at that.
That header was a dart reminded me of Antonio last season.

We can’t have chairman & vice slagging off our players in public media not good for recruitment

  6. Not good for the club JRS , and as you say not good for targeted players lol!
When will people wake up to see the biggest problem in this club is the board ! Fekin amateurs in suits ! One day rodders we will be rid of them !!! 😈
