Sullivan confronted by fans in car park

Sullivan

West Ham Chairman David Sullivan was confronted in the Wigan car park yesterday evening by Hammers fans angry at the club’s 2-0 dismissal from the FA Cup.

And the co-chairman allegedly told supporters “We can’t sign anyone!” adding that it was almost impossible to do business in the current January window.

Sullivan challenged West Ham away supporter Nick Mark who they would sign if they were in charge and Marsh duly answered “Jonjo Shelvey”

Marsh writing on twitter account after the car park encounter claimed the chairman answered, “He’s useless!” and they walked off.

The chairman also allegedly revealed to another West Ham supporter the true cost of the Joao Mario loan saying he was on a weekly wage of £101,000 per week plus a £2m loan fee to his parent club.

Since most loans run until the end of June this would mean £2m in wages making the total investment £4m for the Inter Milan midfielder.

David Gold defended his business partner for walking off and sitting in his car after the exchange saying “I don’t think you can criticise DS for getting in the car given what happen to him after we lost 4-0 away to WBA a couple of years ago. dg’

  1. Looking just now at a list of done deals or Jan. Oh well I guess e said ‘almost impossible’!

  2. I agree with him on the Jonjo Shelvey part… he’s useless

  3. Of course its almost impossible for you!!!youre measly offers make it impossible !!!!
He clearly can’t see the danger of us getting relegated , clearly a lack of vision and class !
Add to that they simply cannot compete in the transfer market which tells us all again that the next level is out of reach with these owners ! And another statement like the shelvey one literally shows he has a IQ of 11. And I think I’m being generous there ! He’s a chairman of a great club and making remarks like that in public is not acceptable ! Time the dildo ( fitting remark ) thought about departing the club ! That remark killed any link stone dead ! Clever!!
The players are there for the right price but unfortunately for all the promises he simply can’t deliver ! Dendonker , smolov , carvhalo , cairney , and a million others except shelvey ? are available for the right price , I hope Mario is super but I’m not convinced on that one and he defiantly can’t do it on his own for the next couple of months , the next 5-6 games are going to tell us if were going to survive this league IMHO! Its a mess !!😈😈😈

  4. The club moved to the Olympic Stadium so that they could move “to the next level”. It is not enough to have a next level stadium if you have the old level players. For the club to progress “next level”owners are needed.

DGS have done a fine job for the club and when their investments are cashed in I am sure they will have done pretty OK but when it is time to move on, it is time.

  5. Although I back the owners and think for the most part they have been good, if they want us next level it will require serious investment and if they are not willing to go that way they should look to find people that will.

    • you say you back the owners and most of what they have done is good, can you name all these good things they have done

      • Yes, they saved the club from bankruptcy, no one was coming in for us and anyone that says they would have is quite frankly deluded, they got us promotion in the first season by hiring Allardyce when the club was on its knees who with the help of Nolan performed a miracle in getting us back at the first time of asking, they stabilised us in the premier league, they got the deal of the century at the OS which gives us a platform to get to the next level against a backdrop of viscious vitriole from people who can’t handle change. I am objective enough to see all their numerous flaws but balance it out with fact based data, the money they have spent is all in black and white and according to that we are not making a profit at present, they have not taken us to the next level, we haven’t seen the £40m striker or sufficient quality brought in, their transfer record is dubious but that was buying what Sam wanted and what Bilic wanted for the most part, they have backed their managers judgement but Allardyce only wants proven old nags and Bilic signed players we didn’t need unbalancing the squad, some of those signings though may still turn out to bear fruit. Moyes has an exceptional record in the transfer market but he needs hard cash to get those players, they need to find it and get the deals done.

        • To answer a few of your points no club in the history of the premier league or I am almost sure championship for that matter has ever gone out of business so no they never saved us,you say they got us promoted you forget they first got us relegated and let’s face it the os is an awful football stadium, they are liars who are mugging whu fans off

        • CB holdings staved of a possible administration? Which balanced the club and was seeing it through the crash with a steady hand , a icelandic banker took up the role of chairman and gave the running of the club to duxbury , Zola and someone else whose name I can’t recall ! Cb holdings valued the club at 200 + million but several suitors who was interested didn’t fancy that in the current climate so cb carried on running the club , when sugo got involved they only bought 50 % and cb held the other 50% , in the frame was also tony Fernandez , financial firm inter market and Massimo Cellini. ? You’re wrong in the fact there was no other suitors and we were never in a bancruptsy situation that was imminent ? Sugo paid 105 mill for 50% and they were deemed to have the final say on all matters ! The club was in debt to the tune of 38 million ( the price of a descent player today ) but sullysaid it was 110 million ???, they sugo had already been in conversation with Newham council about the L’s but as brooking said a running track around a football stadium isn’t the required thing but relieved the saga had taken a more stable stance ! Sugo were inviting investors to come on board but got a knock back as nobody would work with them ! Their cunning plan was well thought through for a 60 year old ehh ! Oh and a classic statement at the time was , its extremely difficult to sign players in JANUARY so we have no intentions of doing business in this window 😂 there will be funds available for Zola ? Shortly after by not funding Zola with top four and champions league wonga they hung him out to dry , took back control of running the team and sacked him ! The rest is history !
Delusional ? Saviours ? Naa I call it opportunists who had a chance to purchase west ham in a time of uncertainty and did their homework very well !! But never saved this club from bankruptcy as it was never in administration .

  6. I said about this yesterday ..they have no intention of buying Anymore .and its on camera so thers no doubt ……we got this deal with the stadium to spend more money on players
to take us forward well I think we can an all see by now we were taken for a ride …..I’ve no doubt they like west ham but they like lining there pocket’s more ..this club will strand still or even go backwards with these owners ..the offers for players they make are embarrassing but they make them to say they tried …saying that about shelvey on camera showxs how thick he is even if it is true …we need 2\3 more players at the very least especially after yesterday because this squad is not strong enough to survive ..IMO

  7. Didn’t he also (allegedly) say we missed out on Carvalho due to a ‘late medical’?
I honestly don’t think he can separate the truth form the bullsh1t anymore!

    • I agree Mary and if he dosnt want fans asking questions at his age or the so called agro ! then he shouldn’t be the owner of a football club ..retire then Mr Sullivan you certainly don’t need the money ..and let some one buy the club. That would be happy to spend the money and awnser the fans questions… Simple really..

      • 😂 it seems kip that he can manage to re mortgage every asset in the club but at 68 can’t give suitable answers to perfectly valid questions and manage to abuse a player for no apparent reason except maybe he’s a pretty dumb bass tard and is suffering first stages of dementia ? It may explain the constant bull shyte and immature remarks 😂

        • I know laz its laughable and some people are saying the fans are bullies for asking fair questions about the club they pay aloit of money to watch.. I used to like them but over the years the lies have got to much ..the Birmingham’ supporter’s said this would happen ..they promise the world and we get fu!! All like it ..this club will go nowere with these owners ..

  8. Sullivan is 68 years old FFS – I am pretty sure he doesn’t need the aggro and especially to be surrounded by bullies in the carpark – what is wrong with these people?

    • Who knows Crewe, 50 year old men that have less restraint than my 2 year old nephew, it was a crap performance worthy of defeat but when you put out a load of players that barely know each other including mostly a youth team that is always a possible result, the best team won, we have more players unfit than fit and a few with questionable attitudes on the side, Moyes has inherited that from Bilic it happens at a lot of clubs when they change managers (the attitude part), the people seem to think they have all the answers but none of us have a clue what is going on behind the scenes…

    • At 68 he should be in the Bahamas living a healthy last few years ! But its his choice ! He talked the talk but can’t walk the walk ! He needs to call it a day , hes aged 20 years in two years ! Its to much for him!. Its all about legacy ! Unless they spend money that may never materialize .

  9. Still here sully 😈
