Surprise candidate as Irons step up boss hunt

LaudrupWest Ham have aggressively stepped up the hunt for their new boss and have a range of candidates in their sights.

ClaretandHugh has discovered today that whilst David Moyes is a serious target he is only one of the club’s top several and we were assured that Jurgen Klopp remains a serious target.

The former Everton and Manchester United manager was last night named by The Telegraph as being set for a straight approach from the club but we were told this afternoon that he was simply one of various candidates.

Among them – we were told- are Slaven Bilic and a surprise name Michael Laudrup who has suddenly catapaulted back into the frame.

Rafa Benitez is also in the Irons collective mind but so far has given little encouragement he’s ready for an interview as he prepares for talks at Napoli.

Eddie Howe is liked and admired but as revealed in the past is considered high risk given his lack of top level experience.

However, he would be at – or close to the top – of the back-up list of candidates should the club fail in all its efforts to attract one of those they fancy.

It begins to look bleaker and bleaker for Sam Allardyce with the only likelihood  of a new deal being offered were every candidate fancied by the club were to not materialise.

And he scored a massive own goal earlier today in an interview with London24.com when explaining why he woas reluctant to play the younger players at the club .

Insiders were shocked at what the manager had to say with one saying: “To be honest it made little or no sense given the league position. Nobody could make head or tail of it.”

  1. Michael Laudrup is a good candidate as he did a good job at Swansea do has the premier experience we so much need there is no language barrier and he loves free flowing football this club needs to play I also think he is a more realistic propersition,
I don’t think Moyes,Klopp or Bernitez will come and if that leaves the rest on the list Bilic and Biesla then Laudrup would be a good choice,
Hope it’s not another smoke screen because old big head can’t keep his mouth shut

    • Sorry, don’t agree Bubs. There were clearly some pretty fundamental issues with him at Swansea which no-one has talked openly about. From the outside it seems that the Swans couldn’t wait to be rid of him. I wouldn’t hire him unless I knew what that was all about.

  2. Ahagsh… The list is becoming very Long…

    Laudrup
    Bielsa
    Bilic
    Moyes
    Benitez
    Klopp
    Poyet (no thanks)
    Redknapp (no thanks)

    And the winner is… BFS!

    PLEASE I COULD DIE

    • Laudrup
      Bielsa
      Bilic
      Moyes
      Benitez
      Klopp
      Poyet (no thanks)
      Redknapp (no thanks
      All agreed
      I’d add
      de Boer
      Howe
      Dyche
      Pugh
      Pugh
      Barney McGrew
      Cuthbert
      Dibble
      Or Grub
      Anyone but Sam
(I think the stress is kicking in lol)

  3. Laudrup would be great – as would many of the others (I agree, no Poyet or Redknapp).

However, first thing’s first – get rid of Sam so that these managers will actually take our approach seriously. Not many managers will talk while the current guy is still in the job – the botched Martin O’Neill incident still lingers in my memory.

  4. Dibble gets my vote now we’re talking,
Grub sounds good about now with beer,
We all have stress wait till tomorrow
BFS start coming up with tomorrow,s excuses

  5. can hear the fat man’s excuses already groan groan groan injuries should of took our chances & the ref was against us. There you go manager on monday already does anyone fancy us to win tomorrow? Im not optimistic anymore can see us getting kicked up the rrrrrs

  6. Living in Swansea guys – He was not rated by the Swansea Jacks, apparently an arrogant and aloof man, they couldn’t wait to get rid of him as he lost the plot – most noticeably against us! careful what you wish for! 🙂 coyi
