The Transfer Rater

Here is Hammers Chat’s transfer rating video where Geo puts Charlie on the spot to assess our summer dealings.

He has a mere 45 seconds to comment on each of the new signings and predict whether they will flop or thrive.

  1. Most impressive for me so far has been left back and then Calleri. I accept we have not seen Feghouli, Zaza or Ayew. I think the right back is a good signing. Tore if he gets fit could be a good signing but I can safely say the worse signing we have made is Nordsvelt based on his performances to date.

  2. I think Novedt will be a great signing but feel like so many,
We are lost at the moment,we have not found the style of football to play as we did at home some times last year year,
Slav was hold op last year never went to others grounds and gave them any respect,
I know we have been missing main players and have missed chances, but to go to city with a defensive set up is pointless,
1 point for a draw gets you no where but relegation zone,
For years teams like Liverpoor and Manure got results on clubs running scared and going away looking for a draw,
Slav last season went for the in at all times and we grabbed some great results from the brink of defeat,
Let’s go back to attacking Entertaining football because that’s our strength,
Our defence is our week link so why sit back hoping those mistakes don’t happen,
Last year we gave so teams a 1 goal lead,
Attack Attack and the results will come

  3. Other than Tore who I am not grading yet because I don’t think he is fit, I am happy with all our signings, this is the strongest squad we have ever had, if Bilic hits the right combinations we can play and beat any team in this division, I would like to see us rotate this squad and hopefully keep all of them well utilised and happy because they are all genuinely good enough to start. I am so excited to see how we will shape up against Watford, for me the window was a 9 out of 10

  4. It’s far too soon for anyone to make a judgement. Ask the question again after the players have made at least 10 appearances. Take Mikhail Antonio for example……. after his three games last season we all knew he was trying hard enough. Then we saw his confidence grow. There was strength, pace, trickery and goals. A similar story occurred the season before with a totally unknown and unproven Diafra Sakho. Before that mid-season injury, he played down the middle, showing most defenders a clean pair of heels and the goals came. I was impressed because I’d never heard of him.

Let’s look at the new signings and the team in November. I think we’re in for another good season.
