Unbackable Sam all set for a return to PL

Former West Ham boss Sam Allardyce ‘s odds on taking over Sunderland have crashed to a ridiculous 10/1 ON with William Hill.

Big Sam has been in the Black Cats frame since Match when ClaretandHugh first reported that a move to the north east was on either ‘now or later.’

And a rush of money for the 60 year old has seen his odds shorted up on oddschecker.com to as short s 1/10 with the best available being 1/4.

The bookies have made him all but un-backable such is their certainty that he is on his way to the Stadium of Light.

If the bookies turn out to be correct then the former manager will appear again before the West Ham hordes on February 27 when we entertain the current strugglers to the Boleyn.

  1. Bring him on !!!

  2. ‘Unbackable’,that’s one word you could use when describing him i guess 😀

  3. He does what it says on the tin ‘ and we’ve had far worse managers, maybe nicer blokes but far worse managers . Grant , Roeder to name but two .

  4. Well this tin is well past its sell by date 😉

  5. Nolan must be close to a Premier return then if Allardyce takes this job.Bad luck Sunderland fans but things will get better in about four years 😉

  6. Well that leaves just 2 places for relegation to be settled then. He will probably stop the goals going in, but I can’t see a single striker scoring enough at the other end to keep them up.

  7. I keep reading and hearing on Talksport how appointing BFS will ensure that Sunderland won’t go down – but Sunderland have a poor squad, a lot of ageing players, well past their best – this could be one job too far for the Dinosaur!

    • Is their squad any worse than ours when he took over?? Those poor bar stewards, if they thought the football was bad now wait a month & then there will be will be a rush for sharp knifes. Ear cupping making excuses on a friday why they will lose on saturday.

  8. He will keep them up with ugly horrible shiet & for the nxt year the fans will be happy just to be in the PL. He will fill the squad up with his type of player & ‘style’ the fans will turn ……….. groundhog day…. zzzzzzźzzzzzzzzz on a plus side he might want to sign AC for silly money

  9. Im sure he will be the Messiah IF he can keep them up but then going into the second season they will be bored sh#tless of the football & will want more than he offers.
