Under 23s in sensational comeback to beat Spurs

Nathan Holland - great vision and defence splitting runs

Nathan Holland – grabbed a goal in a fine performance

West Ham’s under 23s grabbed victory with an amazing comeback at Spurs.

It gets no better than to beat the north Londoners on their own manor and whatever words Terry Westley gave the bys after break  worked the oracle big time after they went in two down.

But within 15 minutes they had turned everything round with goals from Kemp, Holland and Pask.

It was an astonishing achievement after the hosts had taken the lead with a wickedly deflected goal from Dylan Duncan and a penalty – yes another one – from Edwards who was fouled by Pask.

There was some incredible late drama when Tottenham’s Edwards knocked a shot past Trott  but amazingly Alex Pike crept hind his goalkeeper to clear off the line before Holland went clear bt failed to beat the keeper.

We will have a more detailed report later

  1. Brilliant start . Love Holland big prospect. Would.like to see him in Cheltenham game tomo at LW. Toni as well and Masaki. A nice mix of experience and youth. And Adrian .
Think now got promotion and Toni is on fringe being brought up to squad that he was but then changed. Would like the bring in George First from Sheffield Wednesday for CF for U23s 6’3 18 yo and scored 7 in 9 for England U23s good prospect.
Glad to see them start well and Pike surprised me!

  2. George Hirst i think you mean.

  3. Top start to the U23 season. We have some real talent in this side.

    Where is Quina? Injured?
